Strong protest by MTNL Officers Association & Kamgar Sangh against 'outsourcing of Broadband services'
MTNL Officers’ Association and Kamgar Sangh jointly had meeting with MTNL Mumbai Management over the issue of ‘outsourcing of Broadband Services’
MTNL Mumbai management had prepared a plan for deployment of private man power (70 nos.) in MTNL Mumbai for provisioning and maintenance of Broadband services under the ‘outsourcing’ pattern at cost of about Rs. 1.10 crores.
However both MTNLOA and majority union Kamgar Sangh had justified deliberations during the course of meeting with management on Thursday, 24th July 2014 to prove that the decision of ‘outsourcing’ of Broadband services by Management was totally wrong and compelled the management to restrain from the said decision of ‘outsourcing’. On the other hand Shri Dilip Jadhav , Secretary Kamgar Sangh submitted the full proof plan for provisioning and mtce of Broadband services with existing staff to the management for its implementation.
After an hour long discussion in the meeting from both the sides, the management agreed to turn down the decision of ‘outsourcing’.
ED MTNL Mumbai - Shri Peeyush Aggarwal, CGM (LS) - Shri G V R S Kumar, GM BB - Mrs Gunjan Dave along with other officer from BB unit were present in the meeting. Kamgar Sangh Secretary - Shri Dilip Jadhav, Sthaniya Lokadhikar Samiti - Secretary Shri Dilip Satam, Kamgar Sangh Treasurer - Shri Maruti Salunkhe and other active members of kamgar sangh were present from the majority union side. Jt. GS - Shri Vilas Sawant, Jt. GS - Shri S D Mudras, Treasurer - Shri Suhas Kambli and Asstt. Treasurer - Shri Mukesh Nayak attended the meeting on behalf of the MTNL Officers’ Association.
Promotion of execuitves to the cadre of SDE / Dy. Manager (T) on officiating basis
It has been learnt that consequent upon the dismissal of petition filed by MTNL Mumbai in the High Court, in regard with the issue of JTOs of the recruitment year 1999, the process of promotion of executives to the cadre of SDE (DM-T) on officiating basis is likely to be started soon. This process was held up since last 3- ½ years due litigations. Now more that 350 executives are expected in the process of promotions to the cadre of SDE / Dy. Manager (T) on officiating basis.
MTNLOA strongly protest the forcible imposition of TRAI penalty on the execuitves by MTNL Mumbai Management
The present burning issue of Imposition of TRAI Penalty on the Executives & non Executives by Management is taken seriously by MTNLOA
Accordingly MTNLOfficers Association has served a Legal notice to MTNL Mumbai Managementon 21st June 2014 against forcible imposition of TRAI penalty only onmiddle level execuitves
Good News for women employees in MTNL --- Grant of Child Care Leave to women employees working in MTNL
The issue of grant of Child Care Leave to women employeeshas been already taken up by MTNL Officers Association several times with MTNL Corporate office. Our Association had series of meetings with concerned authorities at DoT & MTNL Corporate Office for implementation of Child Care Leave for women employees in MTNL as it has been implemented in BSNL
